About the Workshop

Join us for an enriching 3-hour workshop in the beautiful Blue Mountains. Whether you're new to meditation or looking to go deeper, this session will offer practical tools and timeless wisdom.

In this workshop you will:

  • Calm your mind and emotions

  • Reduce stress and tension

  • Tap into your own inner wisdom

  • Experience deep peace & relaxation

  • Tap into boundless energy within

Meditation means turning inward—toward the source of your being. It reconnects us with our natural state of peace and replenishes us at every level. Through guided practice, you’ll learn to quiet the mind, deepen self-awareness, and awaken to your true nature.

You’ll explore two powerful methods of meditation:

  • Self-Inquiry is the art of turning within to discover what’s truly going on. We uncover blocked energy, release tension, and access our inner wisdom. This practice brings meditation into everyday life—dissolving fear, anger, and sadness so we can live with more joy, creativity, and inspiration.

  • Mantra Meditation is the repetition of a simple sacred phrase—an effective practice found in all traditions to calm the mind and emotions. It brings us to peace, uplifts our energy and gently takes us into meditation.

Sri Ramana Maharshi

No, there are chairs available. However, you may like to bring a cushion for the chair, or if you wish to sit on the floor you can bring blankets or cushions.

Is meditation based on a religion?

Self-inquiry is for everyone, no matter your background. It works whether or not you have a belief in a higher power, or follow a particular path. Inquiry looks at our thoughts and feelings, as they are, and taps into our own inner wisdom. In the practice we only accept what resonates for us.

The basis of Inquiry is that underneath all of our stress, our contraction or struggle, is a place deeper within, which is peaceful, loving and energised. Even if we don't know if this is true, or don't believe it, by shining the light of our own awareness within, we discover that as we overcome our blocks, we are happier and much closer to us at our best.

You will also be guided in mantra practice, which has been used across all traditions and in secular settings. A traditional mantra will be offered, but you are welcome and encouraged to use your own mantra if you prefer.

What tradition or philosophy is taught?

This program is based on the teachings of the great beings of India, in particular the philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism, a powerful Tantric philosophy of nondual Consciousness, and also Patanjali's Yoga Sutras.
The lineage of my tradition begins with Bhagavan Nityananda of Ganeshpuri, Baba Muktananda and the meditation teachings and practices I share are as learned from my own teacher Swami Shankarananda.
